Ministry and Outreach

At Trinty Reformed Church, we express our ministry goals through five areas: Public Worship, Familiy Worship, Mutual Encouragement, Community Outreach, and International Outreach. Through these five areas of ministry, we are committed to glorifying God and honoring Christ both in our covenant community and within the one catholic or universal church.

Public Worship

Scripture calls us to participate in corporate, public worship and to grow through the preaching of the Word and the administration of the sacraments (Acts 2:42, 46, 5:42; 1 Timothy 4:13). Our ministry-to one another, the community, and the world-flows from our worship, as the Lord calls us to come before Him with joy (Psalm 100:1-2), presenting ourselves as spiritual sacrifices (Romans 12:1-2) and approaching the Him with reverence and godly fear (Hebrews 12:27). Our worship reflects these truths through the pattern of covenant renewal: God calls us into His presence to confess our sins and receive His forgiveness; He consecrates us through His word, communes with us at His table, and commissions us to be salt and light to this world.

Family Worship

A high priority for Christ's church is to build strong families that faithfully witness to Christ because our Lord commands us to instruct and guide our children in His word whether we are sitting, walking, sleeping, or rising (Deuteronomy 6:6-9). We obey Christ's command by encouraging families to worship together publicly as well as privately in their homes as they share meals together, read God's word, pray, and sing together. We provide family worship guides in our Sunday bulletin and are happy to recommend other resources to assist in this most essential and holy duty.

Mutual Encouragement

Although families are crucial to the development of our church, we are also a new family, the family of God (Mark 3:32-35), joined by our union to Christ (Galatians 3:28). We minister to everyone regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic background, or social status. In this family, Christ calls us to hospitality (1 Timothy 3:2; 1 Peter 4:9), to love (Hebrews 13:16), and to good deeds (Hebrews 10:24), as we open our homes to the family of God for mutual encouragement and Bible Study.

Community Outreach

We desire to evangelize our neighbors and community by building personal relationships that reflect a genuine concern for each person created in the image of God, reinforcing our outreach by a consistently God-honoring example both publicly and privately. Taking Jesus as our example (Matthew 9:9-12), we should eat and fellowship with those who are not part of the household of faith, becoming all things to all men so we might save some (1 Corinthians 9:19-23). We should see every area of our life as an opportunity to spread the love of Christ.

International Outreach

In fulfillment of Christ's commission to baptize and make disciples, we commit ourselves to send missionaries from this body to spread His glory throughout the nations (Matthew 28:18-20). We continue to pray and support our own missionaries, Al and Brenda Gatti, as they labor for Christ in Mexico, and Kevin Millard, as he labors in Niterio, RJ, Brazil. We also seek to cooperate and co-labor with other local and international ministries for the spread of the gospel (3 John 8), such as Sound the Trumpet Ministries, Mt. Zion Ministries, Fiel Ministry, and other organziations. Both personal relationships and theological perspective govern our involvement in all missionary endeavors.
